The Dictionary Unit for SA English (a Rhodes affiliated institute based at the St Peter's building at Rhodes) would like your help in improving the user experience of their free online Dictionary of South African English.
If you do, you'll not only be part of creating an important South African resource, you might win a dictionary in the process.
The DSAE contains a huge collection of quotations from a wide range of South African sources from the 17th century onwards, so, they say, it is much more than just a dictionary.
"We hope that the content offers potentially valuable material for many domains of research, not simply in the field of language and linguistics. And we know that the opportunities presented by electronic media can make it more exciting, accessible and flexible.
