Kingswood's annual 'Concert in the Dark' takes place on Friday (26 February) with a varied programme of chamber music – from classical to 21st Century.
Entry is by donation and all the proceeds go to the St John's Eye Clinic. The clinic is part of the St John Ambulance Foundation (24 Hill Street, 046 636 1650, centre@ghms.stjohnambulance.co.za) and carries out professional eye testing and dispenses glasses to those in our community who can't afford commercial rates. It also diagnoses cases where patients require corrective surgery such as cataract operations and refers them to eye hospitals for treatment.
The performers are all staff and pupils at the school. Here's the provisional programme:

David Scarr (French horn) and Stephen Holder (organ). Andante from Symphony No 5 for Horn and Organ – F Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.
