Algoa Cares, Algoa FM’s corporate social investment initiative, has opened applications this week to non-profit organisations in the Eastern Cape to apply to be the beneficiaries of the two annual Algoa Cares Charity Golf Days hosted in Port Elizabeth and East London. 

Algoa Cares, Algoa FM’s corporate social investment initiative, has opened applications this week to non-profit organisations in the Eastern Cape to apply to be the beneficiaries of the two annual Algoa Cares Charity Golf Days hosted in Port Elizabeth and East London. 

“We will only be doing one call for beneficiaries this year and will simultaneoulsy choose two beneficiaries in the Eastern Cape who will benefit from the funding of the two charity golf days”, says PR and CSI Manager at Algoa FM, Jennilee Peremore.

Non-profit organisations working in the fields of education, health and the environment that operate within the Eastern Cape should apply. Information required in the proposal is:

NPO number, brief history of organisation (successes), geographical areas the organisation supports, goal, purpose and objectives of the organisation, future plans as well as telephone/cell and e-mail address of the project manager. 

Charities must be sure to outline the specific project the funding would be used for, as all the requirements for the project will be purchased by the station. “Needs for projects must be tangible, be sustainable and projects must show longevity”, says Peremore.
