    Woman in custody after son’s fatal stabbing

    A 38-year-old woman made a brief appearance in the Magistrate's Court in Grahamstown today. It is alleged that she stabbed and fatally wounded her 17-year-old biological son at their home in Sun City, Grahamstown.

    A 38-year-old woman made a brief appearance in the Magistrate's Court in Grahamstown today. It is alleged that she stabbed and fatally wounded her 17-year-old biological son at their home in Sun City, Grahamstown.

    Police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender said details of the incident were still unclear and were being investigated.

    She said the woman was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday 10 January) in Grahamstown.

    "She has been remanded in custody until 18 January for a formal bail application," said Govender.
