Police arrested a 37-year-old man on the N2 bypass near Grahamstown after they found he was  driving a stolen vehicle Monday 23 October.

The Grahamstown K9 unit and Grahamstown Visible Policing helped Highway Patrol police in their operation to seize the Toyota Quantum.

"The Toyota Quantum which was stolen in Manenberg, Cape Town, earlier this month, was stopped on the N2 bypass a few kilometres before Grahamstown," Govender said.

"One man suspect aged 37 was arrested. He faces a charge of possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle."
The Quantum was the second stolen vehicle stopped by the Grahamstown police this month.

On Saturday 7 November, three men were arrested in Grahamstown with a stolen vehicle, as well as an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

The three men, in their late 20s, were kept in custody. They were charged with possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle as well as possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
