Kingswood College hosted its annual U13 Girls’ Water Polo Festival over the past weekend.

Teams taking part included Kingswood U13A and Wyverns (U13 B), DSG, Pearson, Clarendon U13A and U13B, Hudson Park U13A and U12, Stirling, Reddam House U12, Kingsridge and Collegiate.

It was a successful and hard-fought weekend.

While, as headmaster Derek Braans said in his closing remarks, the emphasis of the tournament was on the enjoyment of the sport and not on how the teams placed, the most successful side of the tournament were Pearson who didn't lose a single match.

There was also recognition for the team who most exhibited the Olympic values of 'friendship, respect and excellence'.

The decision was made jointly by all the team coaches and the Collegiate squad were deemed to have embodied those values most fully.
