Grahamstown ref in charge of U19 final

Top Grahamstown rugby referee Sindile Ngcese will be in charge of the Absa U19-A Provincial Championships final between Eastern Province and the Vodacom Blue Bulls on Saturday 24 October. Kick off time is 9.30am.

Top Grahamstown rugby referee Sindile Ngcese will be in charge of the Absa U19-A Provincial Championships final between Eastern Province and the Vodacom Blue Bulls on Saturday 24 October. Kick off time is 9.30am.

His SARU colleague Cwengile Jadezweni will officiate the Absa U21-A Provincial Championships decider between DHL Western Province and the Toyota Free State Cheetahs (11.15am).

Rasta Rasivhenge will referee his first Absa Currie Cup Final between the Xerox Golden Lions and DHL Western Province on Saturday in Johannesburg, the South African Rugby Union (SARU) confirmed on Monday.

Kick-off time for the Currie Cup Final, at Emirates Airline Park, the home of the Golden Lions, is at 1.45pm. The match will be televised live on SuperSport 1, while the broadcaster will show the finals of the Absa Under 19A and Absa Under-21A competitions live on SS2.

Rasivhenge will be assisted by Stuart Berry and Jason Jaftha on the sidelines, while Marius Jonker will perform the TMO duties.

The kick-off times and match officials for the Absa Currie Cup Final and junior competition matches on Saturday (24 October) at Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg, are:

Absa Under-19 A-Division Final –

Eastern Province U19 vs Vodacom Blue Bulls U19

Kick-off: 9.30am

TV: SS2

Referee: Sindile Ngcese

Absa Under-21 A-Division Final –

DHL Western Province U21 vs Toyota Free State Cheetahs U21

Kick-off: 11.15am

TV: SS2

Referee: Cwengile Jadezweni

Kick-off: 1.45pm
