Late online entries for the 2015 Kenton Rhino Run (20 September) are open till midnight tomorrow (Wednesday 16 September).

Organisers say that there won't be goodie bags available for entries taken between now and then but everyone who takes part will still be part of the lucky draw and stand the chance to win 2 nights for 2 people (all inclusive) at the Ukhozi Lodge in the Kariega Game Reserve.

This year's event is the fourth Rhino Run – a trail run that takes place on the same day around the country in order to raise money for rhino conservation and protection.

It was started and is still organised by PE trail runner, Sian O'Keefe, after the poaching and mutilation of three rhino at Kariega Game reserve in 2012 – an event that motivated people all round South Africa to take a stand against Rhino Poaching. Seven Rhino Runs will happen on Sunday – Cape Town, PE, Kenton, Gauteng, Durban, Mpumalanga and even Mississippi in the US.

The Kenton event will include two routes – 6km at R110 per person and 12km at R160 per person – and will start from Homewoods Restaurant at the Kenton Blue Flag Beach.

You don't even have to run it – you can walk with your dog if you want to. Enter at www.therhinorun.com General Race Information Race Date:

If you can’t make the pre-registration session, don’t stress as you will be able to collect your shirt and goody bag on the day if you entered online.

The course is clearly marked so please follow the markers and listen to the pre-race instructions. There will be self-service water points along the route.

However, we do recommend carrying your own water.
