St Andrew’s College returned from their Zimbabwe limited overs Cricket tour with 10 wins, one tie and a loss against St John’s College (Johannesburg) in the final of the T20 Tournament hosted by St George’s College.

St John’s made fewer errors on the final afternoon and St Andrew’s 1st innings total of 134 was just not quite enough to create sustained pressure on the St John’s batsman.

National prospect, Farhaan Saya, led his team to a well-deserved victory with a solid 46 not out off 38 balls.

Anthony Dakin, Stuart Hobson and Gordon Everard all scored over 400 runs on tour.

Anthony Dakin was named batsman of the T20 tournament which included two centuries.

Simon Taylor and Frank Norval were the leading wicket takers on tour with 24 wickets each and were well supported with sustained pressure from Grant Dixie. sport@grocotts.co.za
