Extension 6 residents are fed up with overflowing sewage which covers huge parts of a number of roads in the area.
The residents, who do not want to be named out of fear of being victimised, have blamed the company contracted to build flushing toilets in the area for the mess.
One woman said it was because of the contractor's incompetence that the sewage had spread out across the streets.
This is a problem which has haunted residents in this area for years.
People say they have lost furniture due to damage from water that floods their homes when heavy rains arrive.
Yesterday a woman, who also did not want to be named, said the smell was unbearable and reporting it does not help.
Municipal spokesperson, Yoliswa Ramokolo, wasn't able to respond to questions because she was on leave this week.
