At least one person has died and two were critically injured after a Ford Fiesta overturned on the N2 between Peddie and Grahamstown on Monday 9 March.
The driver of the Fiesta was airlifted to hospital and is in a critical condition.
Police spokesperson Captain Milanda Coetzer said the Committees Drift police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
"The deceased is a 37-year-old female. Two other people who were driving with her, including the driver, are in a serious condition."
According to Coetzer, the accident happened around 11am on Monday 9 March.
The vehicle was travelling from Peddie to Grahamstown.
