After winning their 20 over games against Kingswood College and Volkskool last week, St Andrew’s College faced Woodridge in Tuesday’s (10 February) Cricket South Africa, National Schools T20 competition.

St Andrews’s won the toss and had little hesitation in electing to bat first. St Andrew’s  posted a formidable 195/2 in their 20 overs. Anthony Dakin and Gordon Everard were on their game, maturely compiling a match wining 123 run second wicket partnership. This allowed Ross Vides to target the boundaries at the end of the innings.

Woodridge correctly took on the power play but lost wickets and struggled to gain momentum. Ross Ferguson led the St Andrew’s attack picking up three wickets for 15 runs, as Woodridge were bowled out for 86.

St Andrew's won by 109 runs.

St Andrew’s College play Pearson in Port Elizabeth today (Wednesday 11 February) in the Eastern Province final of the schools T20 competition.
