Graeme College is thrilled with the matric results of the class of 2014.

Outgoing principal Peter Reed said the increased number of bachelor passes was particularly pleasing.

He said 60% of the class achieved a Bachelor level pass. Pride of place lies with head boy Russell Dixon, who obtained seven distinctions and was ranked the top candidate in the Albany District.

His 95% and 96% for physical science and mathematics respectively was indicative of his hard work and the quality of education offered at Graeme College, Reed said.

Russell will enrol for a BSc at Rhodes University, majoring in Ichthyology. "I believe that doing something you really enjoy makes all the difference," Russell said.

Graeme results in summary: 74 Candidates Higher certificate pass – 2 (3%) Diploma pass – 27 (36%) Bachelor pass – 45 (60%)
