Abegail Fleurs with the help of Siyakubonga Funeral Services, Great Occasions and Kidding Around brought Grahamstowns less fortunate children an early Christmas.

This initiative, which was started by Fleurs three years ago, brings a Christmas joyous spirit not only in present form but also having fun by singing Christmas carols and other fun songs.

Fleurs says she took kids from her community who did not know or understand what Christmas is about. Fleurs further states that these children inspired her into starting this initiative.

Each year Fleurs and the sponsors give these children Christmas presents and a lovely lunch while playing games and dancing with some of the sponsors. Giving these children a new experience and seeing them happy, feeling the Christmas spirit makes all of this worthwhile says Fleurs.

Fleurs states that even though she has been holding the Christmas party for the children for three years, she says the initiative is successful all thanks to the sponsors, who not only gave their money but also gave their time to organising the whole party.
