A number of the donkey owners went out of their way to decorate their carts, in the hope of winning one of the many prizes which were up for grabs.
Organiser Annerie Wolmarans, of the Makana Donkey Association, thanked the various businesses for getting involved by making donations towards the day. Wolmarans encouraged businesses to continue to support the Makana Donkey Association by contacting her on 082 655 7579.
