A 25-year-old man has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and without a licence.

Grahamstown Police spokesperson Captain Milanda Coetzer said the suspect, who was later released on R500 bail, will appear in court on 12 May 2015.

The man was arrested after driving into a wall of an Albany Road house on Sunday 9 November. Coetzer said police found his maroon Mazda sedan against the wall.

"The driver of the vehicle was interviewed and arrested for driving without a license and for driving under the influence of liquor," Coetzer said.

"Forensic evidence was collected and the 25-year-old man detained."
