Kenton Rhino Runners outrun the rain

The wet weekend weather cleared up for just long enough for all enthusiastic Kenton Rhino Runners to make it home before further downpours. The annual event held up its reputation as a great family day out with almost 300 entrants of all ages and abilities participating.

The wet weekend weather cleared up for just long enough for all enthusiastic Kenton Rhino Runners to make it home before further downpours. The annual event held up its reputation as a great family day out with almost 300 entrants of all ages and abilities participating.

Dr William Fowlds, in his address to the runners prior to the race, noted that there has been a global reaction to South Africa’s drive towards the plight of the rhino and encouraged all to keep it up.

The beneficiaries of the 2014 Rhino Run event Sunday 28 September in South Africa and abroad are: Outraged SA Citizens Against Poaching (OSCAP); The Chipembere Rhino Foundation; and Forever Wild: Rhino Project.
