Victoria Girls High School were crowned overall winners of the 2014 Peace Day concert which took place at the Noluthando Hall in Joza on Friday 26 September.
Victoria Girls High School were crowned overall winners of the 2014 Peace Day concert which took place at the Noluthando Hall in Joza on Friday 26 September.
The Hip Hop for Peace concert was presented by Awarenet, Peace One Day, Rhodes University Music and Musicology Department and Sonic Art Studio.
Grade 7 to 9 pupils representing Khutliso Daniels Secondary School, Ntaba Maria Higher Primary School, CM Vellem Higher Primary School, Good Shepherd Primary School and Victoria Girls High School performed in the Noluthando Hall to a large audience, after months of singing training.
All songs will be recorded for a Peace Day CD for the various schools. As overall winners of the Peace Day song the VGHS pupils will have a video recording made of their song.
