Some areas of Grahamstown are still struggling with irregular water supply, as Mobisam reported that a burst pipe in Bathurst Street drained one of the city's reservoirs last night, Monday 1 September.
Some parts of Sunnyside, as well as parts of Fitzroy and Bathurst streets were also without water on Tuesday.
"We haven't had water since this morning," Steven Penney said Tuesday."It's been a huge inconvenience and we don't know what's going on."
Students who reside in the Frontier Hotel on Bathurst Street said they had no communication about a water outage.
"The least they [the municipality]could do is let us know when they will cut the water off, now how are we expected to go to classes without taking a bath?" asked a source who did not want to be named.
"The nearest places we could buy water from only open at nine o'clock and we are expected to be in class at eight o'clock. This is really annoying."

Update from Makana / MBB: the burst pipe in Bathurst str drained the low reservoir overnight. MBB throttled the valve so that the reservoir fills up. H'poort was also off last night but is on again and pumping. People can expect water within the next 2hrs.
