Stakes are high as seven schools from the Eastern Cape prepare to battle it out for the provincial top honours at JD Dlepu stadium tomorrow.

The Copa Coca-Cola Provincial Finals present a chance for one school to emerge victorious and take part in the national finals. Ikamva Lesizwe Secondary School, from Kenton-on-Sea, will be hoping to make the Cacadu municipality proud in their first appearance in the provincial finals.

The team stumbled in their first three attempts. They will be hoping it's fourth time lucky, since they have a slight home advantage against their opponents.

The winners of the competition will take home bragging rights as provincial champions, as well as representing the province in the national championships in KwaZulu-Natal in mid-October.

The competition in Joza location will showcase seven top under-15 schools in the Eastern Cape.

    Other schools participating include:

VM Kwinama Secondary School, Nelson Mandela Region
    Sikhulise High School, Amathole Region
    AD Tshayingea, Alfred Nzo Region
Sterkspruit Public School, Joe Gqabi Region
Mdabusa Junior Secondary School, OR Tambo Region
Sada Senior Primary School, Chris Hani Region
