Shocked residents and passing motorists gathered outside the school on Saturday 16 August, as police cordoned off the area where the body of a man lay.

The body was found that morning outside the perimeter fence of the school at the bottom of a steep embankment, a few metres before the kaolin cuttings at the upper end of Dr Jacob Zuma Drive.
