The Black Toyota Fortuner bought by the Makana Council for the use of Executive Mayor Zamuxolo Peter was towed to a private home in Grahamstown.

This comes after a notice of sale in execution signed by attorney Arisha Moodley from Grahamstown lawyers Nolte Smit indicated that the vehicle would be auctioned on 25 July 2014 at the magistrate's court in Grahamstown.

This is in terms of a judgment granted on 4 April 2014 and a warrant of execution served on 9 June 2014.

A representative from the Sheriff's Office (pictured) was on site to see the vehicle was delivered safely.

Africoast Engineering is listed as the creditor, while Makana Municipality is listed as debtor.
