Grocott's Mail has won the award for the best small independent established newspaper in the 2013 MDDA-Sanlam Local Media Awards.
The winners were announced at a gala event to present the Awards on Friday 23 May at Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre in Boksburg.
Grocott’s journalist, Avuyile Mngxitama-Diko, won the columnist category, while the Upstart Youth newspaper won the best front pages in the Community/Grassroots Media category.
