The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) which celebrated its 50th anniversary in September 2012, is hosting an exhibition at this year’s Scifest.

The agency's presence at this year’s Scifest is apt, given that the festival’s theme is “Into the Space”.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is also hosting talks during the seven day festival. NASA is the agency of the United States government responsible for the nation's civilian space programme, and for aeronautics and aerospace research
The festival encourages school learners to take an interest in maths and the sciences.
