St Andrew's College first cricket side took part in the St Alban's College cricket festival over the weekend of 22 to 23 February.

In their first game against St John's College, St Andrew's won the toss and chose to bowl first. St John's were dismissed for 226 in 75 overs. Brian Ferguson, Grant Dixie, Brendan Owen and Simon Taylor each took two wickets.

St Andrew’s College responded well and were reasonably placed at the close of play on 98/3 after 27 overs.

On day two St Andrew's made 259 all out with a 33-run lead, Camran Macfarlane made 87 and Andrew Mills 57. St John’s 100/1 after 40 overs when rain stopped play.

In their second game against Bishops, Zach Melville picked up a five-wicket haul for St Andrew's as Bishops were bowled out for 76.

St Andrew’s scored the runs to win by eight wickets as Gordon Everard made 44 not out.

In the third game against St Benedict's, St Andrew's were left with a tough 187 run chase on a pitch that was starting to keep low. St Andrew’s found themselves in early trouble at 47/4 at drinks. Benjamin Dovey and Andrew Mills put together a valuable 77 run partnership. Ross Ferguson hit the nine winning runs off the last over.
