The Kingswood College boys’ 1st squash team participated in the 20th FNB Invitational squash Festival hosted by Saint Andrew’s School in Bloemfontein over the weekend. 22 Boys-only high school teams participated in the festival with Kingswood being the only co-educational school to have been invited. After a sluggish start against Pretoria Boys’ High School the players were soon able to raise their game and ended up producing some outstanding results –

John Maree – gold in the freestyle relay, 50m and 100m backstroke (Setting a new school record in the 100m backstroke).

Matt Stainforth – bronze in 400m freestyle.
