Masibambane boxing camp coach Bulelani Ndwayana has high hopes for Zikhona Skeyi who returned from the SA National Amateur Boxing Organisation (Sanabo) games with a gold medal.

Skeyi was selected for the Sanabo team after winning on points in her final game in Bethlehem, Free State, recently.

She represented the Eastern Cape Amateur Boxing Organisation at nationals.

In an interview with Grocott's Mail last week Skeyi said, "I will train more and more to make myself stronger".

Skeyi thanked all the coaches who have trained her, and her family for their support.

Ndwayana is very pleased that Skeyi has made it onto the national squad.

He said her performance had dipped a bit earlier this year, but now she's back on top.

The coach was very excited to tell this reporter that Masibambane has produced two boxers who are now on the South African team.

Nosiphosethu Dyantyi is the other boxer.

"I hope that they will stand for us in the Olympic games in 2016," he said.
