The decadent chocolate cake made by Anamie Jacob, left, was judged Best Cake at the Trinity Presbyterian Church Bake-off on Saturday 5 October.

Runner-up was Colleen Emslie, right, with an orange cake. Gladys Arnott, centre, shared first place in the Best Presentation category with Rose Probert.

The best afternoon tea eats were chocolate brownies baked by Les Williams. Organisers of the bake-off thank prize sponsors Twing Sushi, Redwood Spur, The Mustard Seed and Wallace's Pharmacy. The cakes were sold with tea and coffee in aid of church funds.
