The sentencing of bookkeeper Louise Bowker has been postponed. The former employee of Grahamstown veterinarian Philip Gilfillan is now scheduled to be sentenced on 24 October in the Commercial Crimes Court.

The sentencing of bookkeeper Louise Bowker has been postponed. The former employee of Grahamstown veterinarian Philip Gilfillan is now scheduled to be sentenced on 24 October in the Commercial Crimes Court.

Bowker was convicted in the Port Elizabeth court on Monday 3 June, having been found guilty of misappropriating more than R1 million from Gilfillan.

In court documents she stated that a deteriorated mental state had led her to steal R1 412 899.43 from Gilfillan between August 2008 and December 2010.
