Members of various movements and unions, including SAMWU and the Unemployed People's Movement (UPM), held a protest march against corruption on Wednesday 21 August.

The protest started in Fingo Village and ended at city hall around midday, making detours to various municipal buildings. Protesters demanded, amongst other things, that the municipal manager Dr Pravine Naidoo be removed from his position and corruption in the RDP housing list scandal be addressed.

More details on the strike will follow in Friday's edition of Grocott's Mail.
