Two major karate championships will be hosted by the Fish River Sun Hotel and Country Club this August and September.
The first is the South African Shotokan Karate Academy (Saska) East Coast Karate Open (Secko) Championship on Saturday 3 August.
Now the seventh year that the Fish River Sun will host the Secko championship, this draws karateka from the entire region. The official event is run under the auspices of Saska and the East Cape Shotokan-Ryu (ECSR).
The championship has grown to become one of the largest annual by invitation only all-style karate events in the Eastern Cape, attracting more than 400 competitors.
Then the combined World Union of Karate-do Federations (WUKF) Africa Invitational and Saska National Championships will draw competitors from far and wide.
This championship will run from Thursday 26 September to Sunday 29 September.
