This Thursday 18 July marks former President Nelson Mandela’s 95th birthday and the fourth Nelson Mandela International Day.

In celebration of Madiba’s birthday, individuals and organisations worldwide will devote 67 minutes of their time to celebrate his birthday.

Grocott’s Mail staff will be at the municipal library in Grahamstown next Friday for 67 minutes, covering and organising books.

We encourage the community to join us on this day and staff will be there throughout on a rotational basis.

By giving 67 minutes of your time – one minute for every year of Mandela’s public service – you can show that each person has the power to change the world and that small gestures are a step towards the greater good.
