When a wealthy playboy is found dead in his mansion, all evidence seems to point to his eccentric Benoni butler. However, as the investigation into the murder deepens, it appears that all is not as it seems and anyone could be a suspect.
The show is an edge-of-your-seat, exhilarating ride with eccentric characters, outrageous antics and twisting plots right up to the final scene. And, in good old ‘Butlers’ tradition, the audience, as always, gets to choose throughout the performance what happens next.
Anyone who has seen a 'Butlers' show will tell you that the delight of being able to effectively direct the action on stage is part of the experience. Wilkinson has found a formula here that really works as the actors rehearse multiple variations of the script and each new audience choice sends the story down a different path.
"Even the actors have no idea which way the audience is going to vote," says Wilkinson, who also plays one of the many outlandish characters to whom the audience is introduced.
"No one knows which one of us will be the villain at the end and that's what makes it so much fun."
