The U13 week is taking place in Bela-Bela and began with matches on Monday 24 June.
In their first match against the Leopards on Monday, EP lost 5-10.
Hoyi was part of the starting line-up and Devan came on the field as a substitute in the second half.
The match was one of the upsets of the day, as EP is one of the more fancied sides of the tournament.
Shawn Belluigi, of Intune Communications and Entertainment, said the match had been a “tight affair that saw a titanic forward struggle”.
According to Belluigi, the primary school inter-provincial week is the place where heroes are made – a talent pipeline that begins here and extends through the Coca-Cola U16 Grant Khomo Week to the U18 Coca-Cola Craven Week, and from there into the under-20 Baby Boks system.
All the South African Rugby Union (SARU) provinces held their trials and identified their most skilled players for the Coca-Cola under-13 Craven Week.
In keeping with tradition, the Coca-Cola under-13 Craven Week is a festival of rugby, with no league points awarded and no overall winner.
The only team honour up for grabs is the possibility of being chosen to play in the main game of the final day of the week.
