The relatively new Grahamstown branch of Harcourts property agents walked away from a provincial awards ceremony winning one gold and two bronzes last week.

Held at the Halyards Hotel in Port Alfred last Tuesday, the Harcourts Eastern Cape quarterly awards saw around 30 awards dished out across the 18 provinvial branches.

The bronze awards were for property management and the gold went to agent Marion Hendry for the amount of commission she generated between April and June this year.

After operating for two years, Grahamstown Harcourts owner Jean-Pierre Pienaar believes these awards show that the effort that we are putting into Grahamstown is paying off. He is looking forward to the next awards ceremony, he said, as he expects to achieve better results then.

And what's the secret to Harcourts's quick climb to success? Pienaar said it is the fair, honest service that they give to clients and continuous staff training to keep them at the top of their game.
