Join Grocott's Mail on an exploration of Grahamstown’s musical talent as we profile some of our homegrown musicians, bands, groups, singers and DJs on our new music blog.

Grahamsound will feature regular profiles of artists with interviews, photos, video, sound clips and gig guides. We hope to create a community platform for the public to become aware of our performance and recording artists and draw some attention to the fact that there are very few spaces in Grahamstown that stimulate popular performance music.

This week we feature Monwabisi Sabani, a singer and songwriter who has recorded two studio albums and has played in Jo’burg and Cape Town since the mid 80s. He’s back in his hometown of Grahamstown. He’s a musical activist. He’s a soulful and special talent.

Listen to his music and check him out on Grahamsound.

If you are a musician, or play in a band, would like exposure, or know anyone who needs exposure, email us at felixbod@gmail.com or leave us a comment on the Grahamsound blog.
