A surprise party has been planned for Brendon Peterson on his graduation day – but on his way to the taxi rank, Brendon is hijacked and dies at the scene. The hijacker’s handkerchief is left lying next to Brendon’s corpse.

The Handkerchief is a production from the Performing Arts Centre of the Free State. Directed by Moila Lesenyeho, written by Winston Ramananela and featuring TBC, tickets cost R55 (students R35; friends R30; block bookings R35).

It opened at the Masonic Back yesterday. Other performances are today at 10pm; tomorrow at 6pm; Sunday at 4pm; Tuesday 3 July at 6pm; Wednesday 4 July at 4pm; Friday 6 July at 10am and Saturday 7 July at 4pm.
