Grahamstown's very own Eastern Cape boxing champion Mziwoxolo Ndwayana is off to fight the biggest fight of his career tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

The welterweight boxer, also known as the Black Tiger, will be going head-to-head with experienced Cape Town boxer Ncedisile Kafile, in Oudtshoorn, in the Western Cape.

Bulelani Ndwayana, Mziwoxolo's father and coach, told Grocott's Mail that the fight will set Mziwoxolo to a beautiful position in South African boxing ratings. If we win this fight we will possibly go on to fight with national champions for the title belt, he said.

Bulelani appeals to the Grahamstown community to support the provincial champ. We need more support from the Grahamstown community and businesses, he said.

The tournament is promoted by former professional boxer Gcobani Tom.
