Three Cacadu boxers were awarded medals at the Ecabo Eastern Cape Boxing Organisation trials in Alice last weekend. Mvuyisi Springbok (Makabo), Bongani Jim (Sundays River) and Lunga Dyantyi (Blue Crane) received bronze medals in the try-outs for the provincial team. They were all defeated in the semifinal stage.

They were among 13 senior boxers from the Makana Boxing Organisation selected earlier this month. None made it into the Ecabo side.
