Bronze for Cacadu boxers

Three Cacadu boxers were awarded medals at the Ecabo Eastern Cape Boxing Organisation trials in Alice last weekend. Mvuyisi Springbok (Makabo), Bongani Jim (Sundays River) and Lunga Dyantyi (Blue Crane) received bronze medals in the try-outs for the provincial team. They were all defeated in the semifinal stage.

Three Cacadu boxers were awarded medals at the Ecabo Eastern Cape Boxing Organisation trials in Alice last weekend. Mvuyisi Springbok (Makabo), Bongani Jim (Sundays River) and Lunga Dyantyi (Blue Crane) received bronze medals in the try-outs for the provincial team. They were all defeated in the semifinal stage.
They were among 13 senior boxers from the Makana Boxing Organisation selected earlier this month. None made it into the Ecabo side.

49kg Thulani Gqabi, Mvuyisi Springbok
52kg Siphosethu Zingela, John Mahili
54kg Masixole Kondile
56kg Wandisile Tyukana, Andile Ngesi
58kg Mzwamadoda Galada, Bongani Jim
60kg Anele Gqude
64kg Anele Bheyi Lubabalo Dukuva
64kg Ayanda Loteni, Silanda Maliti
