The Rotary Club of Grahamstown Sunset's annual variety concert is back. Following the success of last year's popular show, Alive! At the Monument returns to the Monument stage on Saturday night.

The Rotary Club of Grahamstown Sunset's annual variety concert is back. Following the success of last year's popular show, Alive! At the Monument returns to the Monument stage on Saturday night.

This showcase of Grahamstown’s flair starts at 7.30pm and is guaranteed to leave the audience marvelling at the depth of talent that flourishes in Grahamstown. Including participants from local schools and Rhodes University, this year's concert is bigger and features new performers.

Some of the spectacular acts for the evening are: Dance – Janet Buckland’s Amaphiko Dancers, the Indian Dance Group, and the Bionic Breakers. Choral music and song – Victoria Girls' High School Choir, the G7 Graeme College a capella group, G6 Gospel Group, PJ Olivier Duo, Nia song group and The Footnotes Song Trio. Instrumental – Fusion in Sound, Gareth Walwyn Jazz Trio, AMPliFIRE Youth Group, Elijah and Luis Afro-fusion, Kingswood College Jazz Band, VGHS Marimba Bands and Paul Richard's Sax Solo.

Tickets will be available on the night at R50 each at the Monument door. They can also be bought ahead of time from Albany Sports, Café D’vine, Kodak, Pam Golding, PG Glass and PostNet. Proceeds from the event will go to charity. A cash bar will be also available on the night.
