Kingswood College will play host to the second TEACH! Conference in March 2012 after last year’s successful inaugural event which attracted teaching staff and school leaders from all over the country.

The conference will take place on 23 and 24 March, focusing on teacher motivation and well-being, with this year’s theme built around the concept of the “good” teacher. A diverse group of speakers will deal with topics such as the emotional health of teachers and how to remain motivated and balanced in this demanding career.

Other sessions will explore ideas like how to utilise social media and technology in better ways inside and outside the classroom, how to assess and improve your own effectiveness as a teacher and there will also be a new presentation from tomorrowtoday.com on 'Educating Generation Why' – children born after 1980 – who are said to be born into a more technologically advanced era that is more ethnically diverse than any that has preceded it.

Anyone interested in being part of the programme or attending as a delegate can contact Theuns Opperman on t.opperman@kingswoodcollege.com or phone 046 603 6600. Follow the TEACH!
