Alex Adie and Andrew Lowndes were named the 2011 Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year, at the annual Rhodes University Sports Council Awards dinner. The awards evening took place at the Monument Theatre on Friday evening with all of the university sport clubs represented. Adie is a member of the Rhodes Canoe Club while Lowndes is a member of the Athletics Club. All the various winners will be published in Friday's edition of Grocott's Mail. Photo: Stephen Penney
