    Woman dies in tavern stabbing A 23-year-old man was arrested after his girlfriend died in a stabbing on at a tavern in Joza on Sunday. According to police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender, a witness told police the couple had argued in the tavern and went outside to try to resolve the issue. When the victim ran back inside, she had apparently been stabbed. According to the witness, her boyfriend dragged her outside again, where she died. Mother's horror discovery A woman found her son, 25, dead on their lounge floor of their home on Saturday morning. She told police he had left home on Friday night and when she woke up in the morning he was lying dead on the floor with blood on his shoes. According to police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender, they believe the man's death may have stemmed from an incident at a tavern. Bouncer stabbed to death A bouncer was stabbed to death during the weekend when a fight broke out just outside the Extension 7 tavern where he worked. When he tried to separate the people involved, he was stabbed and died on the scene. Arrests for stolen goods Five men were arrested for possession of stolen goods when some of the goods were found in their property. The items have not yet been linked to anyone. Tricks and scams * Don't fall for the R250 000 scam, warns police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender, who said a woman lost R5 000 when she deposited money into an account, having been told she needed to do this in order to claim a R250 000 reward. * Don't leave valuable items in your car, warns Captain Mali Govender. She if the police came across a car with valuable items on display, these would will be removed and the owners could claim them later at the police station.
