Soccer, netball and rugby were played in the annual Sakhulutsha Sports Heritage Festival at the Rhodes University sports fields last Friday, when teams were selected to play in the semi-finals and finals at the JD Dlepu Stadium, in Joza, next week.
The soccer section consisted of U13 and U15 players – each divided into two groups.The two best-placed teams from each group go into the semi-finals.
In the U13 section Sakhulutsha Sport Development, Sophia Stars, City Pirates and Future Stars made it, while the U15 section has outstanding matches which still need to be played. City Pirates and Sakhulutsha Sport Development are the only teams guaranteed a spot in the semis.

Rugby results
Nathaniel Nyaluza and Ntaba Maria are set to contest the rugby final. However, tournament officials told Grocott's Mail that an age-cheating complaint had been lodged with them against a Ntaba Maria player who was allegedly over the age limit. The case is being investigated. If the allegation is found to be true, the team will be disqualified.
