Albany Bowling Club took top honours at the Kenton Bowling Club's GBS Classic on Saturday, 17 September. At the lunch interval there were 10 teams from the 22 participating still in the running for the top prizes. Through their determination and hard work, the bowlers from Albany managed to hang on and finish first and second respectively.

The winning teams of Clive Barlett, Billy Krige, Marlene Jacobs and Peter Heynes ended up on 45 points with shot profit of 20.

Runners-up, John du Preez, Andre van Reenen, Thelma du Preez and Gill Duncan ended up on 40 points with shot profit of 24.
