    Hoerskool PJ Olivier has been alive with sporting action recently, with rugby, hockey and netball derby against Kirkwood last weekend as part of the school's reunion weekend; a fixture against a Western Cape school, and preparations for Bok Day, today. Stephen Penney took the pictures.

     

    Hoerskool PJ Olivier has been alive with sporting action recently, with rugby, hockey and netball derby against Kirkwood last weekend as part of the school's reunion weekend; a fixture against a Western Cape school, and preparations for Bok Day, today. Stephen Penney took the pictures.

    PJ and Kirkwood met in eight netball matches, from U9s to 1sts, with the PJ 1sts losing 7-21. In the only hockey match of the day, the PJ girls' 1sts played to a 1-1 draw.
    Five rugby matches were played, from U9 to the 1sts, with the main match going the way of the hosts in a tightly contested game. PJ 1sts won 20-17.

    All the results:
    Netball:
    U9 – 8-5, U10 – 5-4, U11 – 4-6, U12 – 2-11, U13 – 4-6, U14 – 10-29, U16 – 2-28, 1sts – 7-21
    Hockey:
    1sts – 1-1
    Rugby:
    U9 – 0-28, U11 – 7-27, U13 – 13-32, U15 – 10-10, 1sts – 20-17.
