The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU – Madibaz) 1st XV scored seven tries in their convincing EP Super League Grand Challenge league victory over the struggling Brumbies outfit at Albany Sports Club on Saturday.
NMMU won 43-10 after leading 21-3 at halftime.

The visitors broke the home side's defensive lines and scored a number of soft tries due to sloppy defence by Brumbies.
They scored three converted tries, Duane Brown slotting a drop goal for Brumbies, as NMMU held a comfortable 21-3 at the half-time break.
The second half saw the home side making a number of unforced errors and the visitors capitalised, as Brumbies played with 14 men after scrumhalf Shanton Whitebooi received a red card for punching an opponent.
The visitors played more structured rugby in the second half, setting up phase after phase as they attacked the Brumbies' advantage line. This was evident, as they scored four further tries in the second half.
Brumbies, however, scored a consolation try late in the second half, as Glanville Lewis cut through the NMMU defence, after the home side decided to spread the ball wide on attack. Vincent Mains converted the try and NMMU walked away with a comfortable 43-10 win.
In the other matches between the two clubs, NMMU 1st Reserves beat Brumbies 29-15 while NMMU 2nds beat Brumbies seconds 20-16.
