Top honours were awarded to EP cricketing achievers last week at the Eastern Province Cricket Awards in Port Elizabeth.
A total of 37 top cricketers and administrators in the Eastern Province were rewarded for their achievements during the 2010/2011 cricketing season at the dinner.

Top honours were awarded to EP cricketing achievers last week at the Eastern Province Cricket Awards in Port Elizabeth.
A total of 37 top cricketers and administrators in the Eastern Province were rewarded for their achievements during the 2010/2011 cricketing season at the dinner.
Graeme College's 1st team coach of 30 years, Ian Suttie, was lauded for service to cricket in the province at the third annual Eastern Province Cricket Awards dinner held at Axxess St George’s Park. A highlight of the event was the special Honoris Causa awards given to four of the Eastern Province’s cricketing stalwarts as determined by the EP Cricket Management Committee.
Suttie was rewarded for his dedication to cricket and his leadership in kindling the passion for cricket among youngsters as a first team cricket coach at Graeme for the past 30 years.
The other Honoris Causa awards went to Claude Simon, Ernest Fiki and Ezzard Hufkie.
“The Awards have always been a resounding success and we really attempt to recognise the achievers in our cricketing system – the players, administrators and support staff. It’s particularly important to us that these awards aren’t restricted to PE or the Metro but also gives us the opportunity to reward rural cricketers,” said EP Cricket CEO Dave Emslie On the provincial cricket front.
Michael Price was named the Best Batsman in the EP Provincial Team. “I am proud that within our province we have such able and willing administrators who so unselfishly serve the wonderful game of cricket,” said EP Cricket President, Donovan May.
Manley Flats Cricket Club picked up the Club Award and Most Conscientious Club Award as the Grahamstown Cricket Board League winners.
Kevin Bennett of Grahamstown received the Best Rural Cricketer award.
