African Connection, the only women's soccer club in Grahamstown and the newly crowned Absa Cacadu Women's Soccer Club champions, will celebrate their 15th anniversary this weekend.
Founder of the club, Chris Totobela is still the coach and manager of African Connection.
Totobela said two of the original players are still with the club from its inception 15 years ago.
To celebrate the 15th anniversary, the club will host three other women's clubs in a friendly tournament. The day will conclude with a formal function and prize-giving ceremony for invited guests.
The mini soccer tournament will kick off at 10am at JD Dlepu Stadium on Saturday and the matches are scheduled to end at 4pm, once all four teams have played each other.
Teams taking part are PE College, Young Stars from Kirkwood and Red Stars from Bathurst.
Totobela urged the residents of Grahamstown to support the club's anniversary celebrations by attending the matches on Saturday.
He relayed his gratitude to the team's players, especially those who have been there from the beginning.
